You are cautioned that the surface of aCCD should not be exposed to laser beam radiation in an environmentwhere a laser beam device is used.Typical CCD PhenomenaThe following phenomena may appear on the monitor screen while youare using a CCD color video camera. These phenomena stem from thehigh sensitivity of the CCD image sensors, and do not indicate a faultwithin the camera.Vertical smearA “smear” may appear to extend vertically from very bright subjects, asshown below. This phenomenon is common to CCD imaging elements using an interlinetransfer system, and is caused when electric charge induced by infraredradiation deep within the photo sensor is transferred to the resistors.AliasingWhen shooting fine stripes, straight lines or similar patterns, the lines maybecome slightly jagged.BlemishesA CCD image sensor consists of an array of individual picture elements(pixels). A malfunctioning sensor element will show upas a single pixel blemish in the image. This is generally not a problem.White specklesWhen you shoot a poorly illuminated object at a high temperature, smallwhite dots may appear all over the entire screen image.Location and Function of PartThe figure shows the camera without the dome casing and slit cover.Side A1 Indoor wiring slit (knockout type)When you wire indoors, cut this part with a nipper or similar and feedthe cable through it.
    Note
Take care not to trap the cable between the camera and ceiling or the wall.If the cable is trapped, it may break and cause a fire or electric shock.2 Camera head holder3 Lens4 Lens ring fixing screwLoosen this screw before adjusting the zoom and focus, then tighten itto fix the lens position. The screw can be inserted at one of threepoints.5 Zoom ringTurn this ring to adjust the field of view.6 Focus ringTurn this ring to adjust the focus.English
